The other day I had a small job to do, nothing exciting though, after I finished on my way back instead of taking the tube I decided to go around walking. The weather was almost the typical for UK but fortunately there were few nice sunny breakthroughs. As I was walking I came across an event taking place on Trafalgar Square, the scale of it was quite something. I couldn’t resist and pick up the camera from my bag and then just start taking picture after picture.
I really enjoy such “small training sessions” where you just take the camera with you go out and work on your photographic eye and vision, as I believe that no matter how boring an object may be we, as photographers, always can make it look more interesting and appealing. And this is how these images were created most of the time.
Sometimes I think what a privilege is for me to be working as a photographer in the city of London. This is probably one of the most exciting and diverse city in the world were people interested in photography are provided with such unique opportunities and objects for their photography. Of course the weather isn’t always in its best but with good timing and planning this shouldn’t be a huge problem.
There is also this surprising element I like to call “The Magic Moment”, the magic moment is the situation in which the weather is bad, nothing is happening the way you planed and just when starting to feel sorry that you went out just to waste your time then out of the nothing appears The Magic Moment that gives you the opportunity to capture the perfect photograph that proudly we can add to our portfolios. And there are so many other surprises for any photographer who would like to explore more of the amazing opportunities that city of London have to offer.
Just a quick note, I always had the wish to start organizing a London street photography workshop for people who would like to explore more of this amazing city and its photographic opportunities so if you came across this blog and you are interested in participating in future photographers workshop, let me know so I can organize myself and do something about it
