Aren’t your prices too high?
My prices are quite average for what other top event photographers are charging across London. Photographing events is a very hard work with high volume of turnaround which also results on intense gear usage. However lots of people don’t realise that the work of the photographer continues for one or two days after the event itself, this include traveling to and after the event, sorting/converting RAW files (yes I’m shooting only in RAW), uploading images to online gallery, editing the images and emailing/sending the final product to the customer. Also, as I mentioned above, there is a costly equipment I use from the camera gear to the PC and softwares in order to produce high quality images, as for the camera I always use backup (second body and lenses) in case something goes wrong with the equipment, which needs maintenance and replacement.
How the event photography process work?
After you contact me I will reply to your email with my availability and asking for itinerary of the event. When you are ready to book my services I will send you an invoice for 20% deposit, based on the amount/hours you like to book. The deposit will allow me to secure the particular date of your event – the deposit is not refundable but is transferable. One or two days before the event I will get in touch checking if everything is running as planned, this will be the best time for the remaining amount to be payed – or in the same day of the event. On the day I will be doing my best to capture the essence of your well planned event. Once images are captured I will send you a folder with all images in low resolution for you to choose a selection which I will start editing. The editing and uploading to online gallery will be completed for up to 7 days and then I will online-transfer the ready files in web and high resolution.
What equipment do you use?
Currently for events I use two Canon 5D full frame bodies, one is serving as a backup, with two Canon 580EX II speedlights and my prime choice of lens is Canon EF 24-105MM F/4 IS USM. This is all top line professional photography equipment.
