In this blog post I will be taking through my latest commercial photography work I did in a beauty salon.
As a commercial photographer I get often contacted with requests via my contact page – from people who, intentionally, were looking for commercial photographer on Google. But this time – for the first time, someone found me by mistake!
It was one late evening when I received a phone call from an unknown gentleman saying “Sorry to bother you, I found your photography work by mistake”. He asked about my availability, and also was very specific if I can do the same look he saw in my creative portrait photography portfolio. The request actually was for his wife – who owns a very successful beautician business in London, and also runs microblading workshops.
It turns out that they initially looked at freelanceuk.com for videographer who can do some filming of how she performs her craft. Somehow by mistake, after landing on my profile and seeing the style of portrait photography work I completed for my other valued clients – they changed their minds. Because the finish look I tend to accomplish with my creative portrait photography work (which is combination of good lighting and editing techniques) was what they now wanted.
Needless to say, I was delighted to know that professional photographs I captured for my previous clients was appealing enough for them to change their minds and choose photography over videography services. Perhaps they also knew the importance of commercial photography for businesses
Being a professional photographer based in London I’m used to traveling all around London, but this time I needed to make my way from Brixton (all the way up to Uxbridge), where my new clients were located. The distance alone is never a problem as I enjoy watching the busy streets filled with life and unique characters. Travelling at times allows for creative thinking as well.
Furthermore, if you are a professional commercial photographer, then you know that at times you have to perform well under strict conditions and project deadlines. This was the case with my new client’s photoshoot session as they wanted me to complete the project during the weekend because the Salon was very busy during the weekdays.
As a professional photographer you need to learn to enjoy challenges and look at challenges as opportunities for you to grow through so that you can become better at what you do. As usual, my new clients Vytas and Sandra were lovely and fun people to work with.
I believe that the most important aspect of my commercial photography work is to satisfy my clients, both in terms of providing professional photos for their business and brand as well as providing the best customer service experience.
Bellow you can see the images selected as final product from this commercial photography session we held at Uxbridge beauty salon.
Next time when you are in the Uxbridge area, and want a gentle and yet professional beauty treatment don’t forget to drop in to “Love U Salons” to say hi to Sandra Opuslskiene.
